For YouTubers: Timely, Seasonal Content is HUGE

As many of you know, getting your videos viewed by a huge audience is a combination of a few things:

  • Building a highly-engaged following of subscribers
  • Optimizing your titles, tags and content for YouTube's search engine and recommendation
  • ... and making highly relevant content for NOW!

The most successful vloggers know weeks ahead of time what is going to be the most top-of-mind for their type of audience, which makes planning your content calendar around events like holidays, back-to-school events and seasonal trends so important!

One of our favorite recent examples is Lindsay Marie, who averages around 20,000 views per video with 150,000 subs.  However, on her "First Day of School" videos, she got over 600,000 views (and counting!).  Wow!
